end of year reflection

Being a DJ at a wedding for me has always been about more than just playing music—it's about setting the tone, creating memories, and making sure everyone has an amazing time. The role of the wedding DJ is evolving. With new technologies, changing music tastes, and an increasing focus on personalization and unique experiences, the job is both more exciting than ever. One of the biggest take aways from this year is the continued personalization for the our couples. I love to help create a wedding soundtrack that reflects their unique love story, their tastes, and even the special moments they've shared together.

I love collaborating with couples to help create their playlists, often curating songs for key moments, like the first dance, the cake cutting, or other unique dances like a mother /bride dance or unique ceremony ideas like a surprise ring bearer/ flower guest.

Flexibility and willing to work closely with couples to make their vision come to life is so incredibly important.

Lastly, diversity and inclusion are so important to me and this is especially true when it comes to the music. This is when planning is so important with each couple. I love diving deep with couples and help them reflect their cultural background, personal values, and the diverse backgrounds of their guests.

The opportunity to create a more inclusive soundtrack is both inspiring and rewarding. As a DJ, it’s so important to me to be sensitive to these nuances and to understand how to blend genres and cultures to create a cohesive musical experience that every guest can enjoy.

I can’t wait to see where the next few years take us, and I’m ready to help create unforgettable wedding experiences that guests will be talking about for years to come. Bring on 2025—this is going to be an unforgettable ride! 🎧✨
